a cool web 2.0 site that lets you look into cell phones inside out. first you get to choose from a selection of phones (very limited for the time being) and then go into a deeper review of the phone from its features, specs, apps, demos, user reviews, and the best of all a live emulator of the phone functionality. you get to see the actual size of the phone and navigate through its important parts which we found different from the other sites. check it at www.tryphone.com

The official radio of Kuwait was first aired at 7:00 am on May 12th 1951. Audio & video streaming has been stopped until further notice by the Ministry Of Information. our show this week talks about the highly valued radio shows aired by Radio Kuwait and how to utilize these shows to the fullest by first airing the shows online and then taking a further step into the “new media” world which obviously is ignored by the Ministry of Information. Listen to our show this week and let us know what you think.

before you start a new business in Kuwait you have to take a look at the World Bank’s doing business report on Kuwait (thats if you don’t have was6a of course). the site has a cool Google maps embedded in the site showing you the whole world and a snapshot of each country with a summary of where they stand in the global economy. The report states that there is 0 hiring difficulty in the country! we also we back 15 points in trading across borders compared to 2006(i think it is because development in Iraq was slowed down because of the inner problems). Anyway the report is really nice to look at to have a better understanding how the World Bank sees our economy.
Also other options can be see on the map and their report; Enterprise Survey, financial indicators, Privatization, and Private Infrastructure

on the 29th of December 2007, Alqabas stated some striking facts on the hotel occupancy rates in Kuwait during Christmas and Eid Al Atha holidays which were 30% compared to 96% in Saudi, 90% in Bahrain, 86% in UAE, 72% in Oman, and 65% in Qatar. Why is it too low here in Kuwait? and how can we solve this problem? is legalizing alcohol would change things? listen to us this week and lets us know what you think.

the recentlly announced “updated” Kuwait airways website (www.kuwait-airways.com) has rolled out an amazing update which is an error front page message!! the site has been like this since yesterday and hopefully it will be fixed by the time you read this post. Ayway the updates mentioned in AlRai paper on the 2nd of January were almost all available already on the site!!!

we mentioned before that the government has implemented new regulation regarding all kinds media coming into the country by having customs and the ministry of information going through them and confiscate what violates our religion, culture, and politics. we have put many question marks over the previous statement which we discussed in our show this week, so listen up and let us know what you think

Kuwait is really coming strong on horse breeding, work is will on its way to construct an amazing facility to house all what is needed to put Kuwait breeders on the map. this Amazing Facility will have a 7 star hotel, royal stables, desert sand paddock (for horses to roam free), library, museum, children riding school, and a show arena. it is a one of kind project and the first in the world. the web site itself shows you the potential for this project. we can’t wait.

Kuwait Institute for Scientific Research (KISR) is conducting a survey on three subjects, consumer trust, social luxury, and Businessmen trust. The site is poorly prepared but we believe the more people participate the better the results get regardless of its web presentation. Answering the 3 parts won’t take you more than 10 minutes and we are not sure how long the survey is up online.
