Episode 99 : Kuwait is to land a man on the moon! We have all the needed elements to make such steps and achievements so why why why we have not already!!! i leave you to listen to the episode to learn about the answer.

That was a nice episode a very interesting topic. some how I feel that as Kuwaitis we have the will to do some achievement but not the tools.
All companies in Kuwait are moved by greed. we might say that people don’t go to private sector because the salary is low, but honestly it isn’t that it’s the fact that the salary isn’t enough and that the companies don’t even want to hire Kuwaitis due to the fact getting an expact is cheaper to them.
On another view most companies lack the vision and see that the money as a goal, why did who ever went to the mean reach there? was there money on it? not at all, they just did it for achievement.
On another side of it if we want to do it as a personal project by a small new company we will be crushed by the big companies just so that you don’t grow to be a competitor even when you are not on the same scope as their work they still crush and do what ever it takes to never let you grow. what we need is something to not think of fast profit a company thinking of achievement first. in the end everything needs finance and not everyone is rich.

I admire your efforts in coming up and presenting this hot topic. I agree with all the reasons that you have mentioned, which prevented Kuwait to sustain its leadership in the region.
Now as you mentioned, we do have in Kuwait many people who possess the skills and ambitions to come up with a Significant Achievement. But this level of achievement requires several important factors which are not available to most or may all of these skilled and ambitious Kuwaiti.
These factors are:
1) Fund.
2) Skills & Tools
3) Courage
4) Patience, Rome was not built in a day
5) Vision
6) Trustful Group who share clear goals and working for the sake of Achievement in the first place.
What I was looking for within this great podcast, is proposed suggestions & possible solutions. You mentioned that this kind of project should be government driven. I agree. if it is not going this way, then what shall we do?

السلام عليكم ،
اول شي احب اني اشكر طرحكم لها الموضوع اللي اعتبره محاولة جادة لتغيير الواقع للأفضل .
وجهة نظري ان اقناع الناس هو مفتاح الحل لها المعضلة او خن قول الظاهرة اللي بدأت تطغى عن الحد المعقول، اقناع الشعب يكون عن طريق اقناع الرؤوس والمتملثة بأصحاب الكلمة الأخيرة عند شرائح المجتمع المختلفة واللي يرأسها طبعا الأمير.
بعد ان تنتهي هذه العملية سوف تجد ان التغيير لأي موضوع تنموي أو يعود بالنفع على المجتمع قد بدأ بأخذ مساره اللي قد يكون بطئ ولكن سوف يكون على الأقل بخطوات ثابتة.
والمرحلة اللي بعدها تكمن في محاربة أعداء النجاح بتقليص تأثيرهم وسطوتهم و من ثم تحجيم رغباتهم الأنانية كالطمع والإستغلالية، عن طريق توحيد الصفوف بالمبادئ اللي بدأ بتطبيقها الكبير قبل الصغير وعندها فقط سوف نرى بوادر نور الأمل للمستقبل الذي نطمح له بشكل ابداعات وانجازات كبيرة تعم بخيرها على الجميع أو كما نسميها المصلحة العامة.
بالنهاية أختم بقول رسولنا الكريم عليه افضل الصلاة وأجل التسليم حين قال :” أحب لأخيك ما تحب لنفسك”.

السبب: القمر يا إما يكون قريب حيل يم الشمس وماكو انسان او لبس يستحمل هالحرار، او اما يكون أبعد وراح يكون برد شديد

Zero Systems: thank you for your comment, i totally agree with you, especially about the greed point, its well known fact here in kuwait “Greed is good” that what most think any way.
to add to your point, people are not interested in whats right, they are interested in what the trend is, or as the saying goes “مع الخيل يا شقرا”

Hasan: welcome back man, sorry for not making it to the event as i was out of the country, now on with the topic:
again you hit the nail on the head, I agree with your points, however i do believe that we have the funds, but none of the rest. all the money spent in education local and abroad is going to waste if those people do not have the environment to thrive in.
lots of good brains are leaving to achieve somewhere else. its like the 60′s was the only decade where you can succeed and now its too late. all big companies where established around that time and no one seem to be able to catch up.
in conclusion, i guess we are stuck with restaurants , woohooo

I think the sad thing in this, is that the only way Kuwaitis would do great things is by going some where they appreciates their vision to be honest that is in all Arabic countries.
The great vision are suppressed while Europeans and Americans are begging them to come work for them, and the person has this dilemma stay in the country and wither out or go there and not serve your country but flourish.

The great vision are suppressed while Europeans and Americans are begging them to come work for them, and the person has this dilemma stay in the country and wither out or go there and not serve your country but flourish.

Good criticism subject, but the elements of our society are not able or cab able to produce your vision of achievements, because of what you said in analyzing Kuwait social life. you can never make omelet without egg. No hope at all. You are blowing in broken skin. That doesn’t mean Kuwait will stay without achievements, we need to think of a certain way of developing our county by using the elements of our social life and and our life systems. great presentation
