Thinking of quality TV production in Kuwait!…Bad idea

So , we have been crying for a quality production on TV, something to be proud of, something that tells a genuine story which we can learn from, something on the same callibor as “King Farooq”, finally we get our answer, with “Assad Aljazeera”, it looks to be a brilliant show.

so what did we do to reward such an efforts? we BANNED it! that’s right. we need to give those people a reward for doing something useful, historical, educational, interesting, and most of all, watani. see for yourself.

Kuwait-info.com

we read on the 2nd of August in Al Qabas that the ministry of information just released a website called Kuwait-info.com where you find what you need to know about Kuwait. so we tried out the site and here is our review.

1- because of the fact i am a hotel expert, i looked at the hotels list in the site and found 5 hotels!! is that the number of hotels we have?? and the only so called 5 star hotel listed are the Crowne Plaze Kuwait and the Marriott Kuwait!!! Also they listed Ritz Kuwait, i thought the ministry is fighting piracy and thats one way of doing it … what a shame!

2- do we only have two organizations in the country!!?!?! Free Art Studio and The Kuwaiti Society of Formative Artists …

3- the whole site is missing information all over the place

BOTTOM Line if the ministry want to do something, they have to do it right or never do it …. they are just misrepresenting the country in a very bad way.

all you can see now in Kuwait is the new and “kind of” up to date movie in the big screens. What happened to the classic movies, do people care about the original pictures from the back then? do you think having one single screen dedicated for such purposes would enrich the overall cinema awareness? listen to our show this week and let us know what you think
P.S. if your outside of Kuwait and looking for a classic theater, you can refer to this site, Cinema Treasures
