we read on the 2nd of August in Al Qabas that the ministry of information just released a website called Kuwait-info.com where you find what you need to know about Kuwait. so we tried out the site and here is our review.

1- because of the fact i am a hotel expert, i looked at the hotels list in the site and found 5 hotels!! is that the number of hotels we have?? and the only so called 5 star hotel listed are the Crowne Plaze Kuwait and the Marriott Kuwait!!! Also they listed Ritz Kuwait, i thought the ministry is fighting piracy and thats one way of doing it … what a shame!

2- do we only have two organizations in the country!!?!?! Free Art Studio and The Kuwaiti Society of Formative Artists …

3- the whole site is missing information all over the place

BOTTOM Line if the ministry want to do something, they have to do it right or never do it …. they are just misrepresenting the country in a very bad way.

IMDB, Internet Movie Data Base, has movie indexes filtered by countries and Kuwait is one of them. The site lists 9 movies including “The Message” which was a partial Kuwaiti production. Anyway it is interesting that you can find “Basik Ya Ba7ar” listed among other movies.

if you are a big fan of the web 2.0 applications and you have accounts in Digg, Upcoming, Facebook, Flickr, Myspace, Last.fm, and more … you can simply access them all in one place where you get to post and read from your friends in the different sites. We found it interesting to use but because of the fact that we only have 1 friend from Kuwait, it didn’t turn out good. So we are trying to promote for it here and hope you guys will like it also.
