I was walking with one my friends to the car the other day, and we start talking about Deera Chat, he made the comment about the site and how he felt its “dying”. I explained to him that we actually just double our listeners’ base. He started explaining how he viewed Deera Chat and compare it to other sites. I briefly explained the difference as nearing towards our cars. It got me thinking about how people view the site in comparison to other blogs. You see, what we do here is not just reporting news about what is happening here and there, it’s about taking what’s going on and make a topic/a discussion out of it. We try to gather as much opinions and views from people around us and form a topic. I have to admit that it takes skill to take something, like car gender for example, and make a topic out if it. But nevertheless we still manage. And to top that, we do it using audio and not your conventional text. Our listener’s use different means of technology like iphone, ipod, or other devices which is a different medium all together. This of course means that we have to keep our game elevated to use the latest in web technology. We compete for your attention not only with other blogs, but also with radio stations, music, and news. It’s great to know that you have a voice which people listen to, it’s lots of fun and we do appreciate it. Thank you Ali & Musaed
