Hi,
Thanks for the episode.
First for the between bracket thing. I’ll have to say, I’m totally against it for the reasons:
1- 80% of Kuwaities have loans. What about the other 20% who don’t? Where is the fairness?
2- Those people who have loans are enjoying them. They are living in a certain level above their income and now asking for the right to have their loans waived. I heard some of the people who wanted their loans dropped had monthly installment for a kitchen of 600 KD/month. Can you have sympathy for that guy?
3- What message are we giving to the public if the government drops the loans? And what will happen to market prices? They will boom, especially land prices I believe.
4- As you said, drop my loans today, I will apply for new ones tomorrow. Even right now, with the project of Ci-Net to control loans, people get wastas and get very furious if their monthly installment is declined.
People shouldn’t ride Camaroo if they can’t afford to fuel it, which is sadly happening.
Now, for the topic. Exhibitions are full of disappointment most of the time. For example, computer ones are just to sell computers, no new technology, and not even new computers. I have seen such old ones for sale there, they just want to get rid of it.Book ones are TOO CROWDED. I always regret going there. Islamic books is what’s nice to find there, otherwise it’s Amazon.com.
For real estate this is really a great chance to show different offers from different countries. I remember going only once in Al-Raya few months back. Being in a high class hotel I was not impressed with the organization. It’s kind of noisy and condensed.
The idea of union for exhibitions is very excellent, your sponsor company seems to be the one you are talking about ;). Basically from the large number of consecutive exhibitions I lost interest in going. It’s like there is a new one next month, I can wait. Having speeches and talks in the exhibitions will add great value I think, if the right people are there to speak. Some people with records not just someone who is trying to create one.
I will keep looking for it so all the best.

Bashar: Thanks for a very valuable comment as always. Loans loans loans I agree with you that some people have loans for luxury and out of stupidity if I may say this, but most people have as a necessity. I don’t like the concept of dropping loans now simply to help people take some more. I believe there should some strategy and controlling body to administer loans. I do hope people be more responsible when it comes to jeopardizing their families future because of some irrational decisions.
As for the episode, I think we have the well and power as well as the brains to change the face of exhibition management. I think we can take to the next level and become pioneers in this type of industry. Thanks once again and cheers

Dr. Bo Rashid: People with necessity. You’re right, there probably are. I wouldn’t assume big chunk of the 88% though. I felt really sorry for some of those people and you feel like helping them. But problem is, soon even among those people you see unwise spending on luxuries, like new TV, furniture, pleasure trip, sometimes on things I don’t even have. So portion of people with necessities are also guilty of unwise spending.
The other part of the problem is, if really large amount of the load is for necessity, then this is only a temp. solution and soon we are gonna have another demand for loan waiving. Question is just when. So logic thing is to make it organized, every 5 or 10 years all people loans would be waived! Tempting for abuse.
I haven’t been properly following all the case details, when I should have I admit, however the best recommended thing is the alternative to load waive which is annual payment to each person. I don’t remember the exact details, but it was something fair, and help all people pay their debt. In general I would not say it’s wise, just fair at least. But looking at how some of the country money is being wasted without people knowing, I don’t wanna talk about where it’s wasted, at least this way we keep it instead of unfair distribution.

I forgot to add, this solution is continuous not temporarily one. another + for it.

Bashar: Thanks once again. The way I think it could help solve the ongoing loan problems is to have a well studied system that analyzes each case and then recommends the proper amount to be given to people who really need it. I also would like to see private companies owned mainly by the public so people can have another steady source of income. Cheers

Maybe we should have an IM as we are the only ones talking here :). Your suggestion is theoretically valid, practically… well, you know our country. Its was6a country. If you can implement it properly, say at least 80% fair judgment, yeah that would be good.
Private companies owned by public. That’s what I’m talking about. Why do you keep shouting for 1 whole year for 50 KD increase only, when you know by that time all prices will go up. You create additional sources of income. Not sure if you have discussed it or not, but it’s a nice topic by it self. Multiply your streams of income.
Wise guy once said “Financially secured person is not somehow who has lot’s of money, but is someone who has ability to make money”

Bashar: Point well made and like your wise man saying….

Hellloooo
bain qosain () .. mm its fair if we pay money for our own country and kuwaities .. instead of paying money for other countries and some countries that stood against us in war .. el karam zain bas 3ad m9akhat .
but if its gona be like paying money and ppl without laons get Zero … then its a bit unfair although no one told them dont take a laon or take one
.. mokhy 3awarne just thinking about that ! ..
i kinda agree with Bashar up there and his reasons .
topic :
i’ve always love this idea of maneging the expos and having latest stuff in it ..
time and when and WHERE are important factors to set an expo …
boRashid wayed ashya nag9a to be as big and organized as an expo in germany or amarica .. or even qatar or dubai !
at least let the government or ppl in charge pick up the phone and answer those who want them to open and expo or yr3oon ma3ra’6 cuz he has a name to be typed in the opening of the expo .. it takes daaays to just have the minister or whoever think and give you an answer .. shasawe i dislike slow ppl !
hehehehe you’re cute BoRashed when you’re whispering the name of that person
you made me laugh …
as for me .. shakhbaaaaaaaaaaaaaari ar’6 el ma3are’6 ! still working ! wa3 i went there once with my family to some book expo there .. but it was the last time … and yeah school took me sometimes … it was sick walah .. dirt and not organized well .. books were set on the flooooooor ! wain ga3den !
anyways thanks alot BoRashed n Ali ,
well done and wish you all the best :))

BeDoOr: Thanks as always for the comment. Waiving off loans from Kuwaitis is one tough issue to decide on, yet again I think some sense of responsibilities from Kuwaitis and some right government planning should be the answer to that.
Exhibition management is an important key to an economic success. I think we should pay more attention to such business and as you said officials should play a major role in this. Cheers
