When is the right time for the next big thing?
When do you decide it is the right time to make a combination of an existing job with a new private business? do you always need to combine or you can eliminate one of the two options. it is critical that you think it through before making your mind and thats what we did this week at Dinar Chat where we thought it through for you and you have to make your decision. Listen to us and let us know what you think

Helloooooooooooooo ;D
Bain qosain ( esqa6 el qoro’6 is a big crime fe 7ag el kuwait .. i think they’re not mixing up things .. but they’re searching for a sensable answer for the ppl in the parliment ) …
topic ,
if i had my own business … well .. if i can manage my job and my family with the private business … why not .. im young .. welling to work .. laish la ?
but .. i agree with the factors Dr.Burashid said ..
but i think its risky at times …
maybe one day the private business you’re having .. burn to the ground .. or maybe closed .. maybe something bad happened .. you’ll lose both …
and about Measaed’s story .. to be honest it gave me hope that i can do something … cuz the gov. sector im working in .. since i begun working .. i gave new ideas to fasten things .. and just stop the manuall working to something computerized to fasten and have accurate results .. but .. they wont get it ! and im not giving up easily … to be honest i had this giving up moments .. but hell with them .. to know im doing a great job in 8 months now and see that ppl working for 15 years ( working or sleeping depends ) didnt do what i did in 8 months … i feel great :PpP
i wish inshalah to have a private sector job maybe next year if things doesnt work out good in my gov. job … cuz deep down in my heart .. i dont want to give my position in my current job .. to someone will end up like the old 15 years experience employee who didnt do anything but eating and just skipping work … if i want kuwait to reach its best in the world .. i should start from myself .. and show ppl that gov doesnt always show that they’re not working ..
gov or private .. there is work .. if you’re free at work .. go and search for work ..offer help for ur collegues even if they’re mean or evil ;P … i nearly know the work in all the departments in my work .. not just mine .. and that i guess is a good thing …
but i cant help not thinking about a private sector job … even if it was a part time job … i need to let out of my energy of giving ideas .. being flixable .. creativity in work … team work … i like that about the private sector …
soo yeah …
… wish me nice things :/ … and i accept flowers too :/ …. Daisies :~l
takecaree both of you
p.s : me is sick .. lost my voice

BeDoOr: Thanks for the comment and get well soon. I don’t mind if the government is trying to find a way out of loan waiving but involving religion into it is just too much for me to take.
As for private business, I think making the move requires brain before guts as well as experience and excellent knowledge into the market. Cheers and god bless…

Salam,
Between Brackets: To be honest, I personally believe all loan are reba, including Islamic ones. They just try to wrap it in a nice way and find loop holes in God’s religion. The strange thing however is the timing of the fatwa as the issue of loan waive has been going for quite long time. So why now only we hear of this?
Main subject: Well I think it so much concerns someone like me. As you may know I quit my good paying private job after series of frustrations. I now hesitate to take any of the private job offers I get before I see something challenging enough, and yet professional enough.Mean while, I work in government job sacrificing portion of the salary difference, in exchange of the free time after work I get for my self to look after my business, which is mostly online but I am open to physical ones as well.
I agree to your point it’s better to wait until you have a solid base that pays more than your current job before you make a move, but my previous job was brain locking one I had to make a move, or else, a programmers age is too short and soon I will be expired. I had however some base before I left my job and now working to expand it.
Thanks for the topic. Nice one really. But you didn’t quite say if you will quit ur job or not

Bashar: Thanks for a very insightful comment as always. It’s funny I was talking to someone the other day about the new Ijara Investment Trust NBK offers and he told me that one of the fatwa sheikhs who signed on the fatwa used to work with him and he was the most dishonest person ever, so go figure……..

As for the topic, I think moving on with your own private business is the right thing to do for smart people who really worry about their future and not the lousy pay check they get at the end of the month. Kuwait has more talent and energetic people than most countries in the region with all due respect. I mean just look at countries around us and go deep into their economy and financial future, basically its run by Kuwaiti businessmen or Kuwaiti money or Kuwaiti brain. I wish you all the best in your government and private jobs but don’t ever give up. We need brains like yours…. As for me, not giving up on my day job but working too hard on my private ones and god bless

Anfal: Thanks for the comment and welcome aboard. I personally have nothing against “Fatwa” people, but have to say that timing to issue such “fatwa” is a bit strange. Beside I don’t really believe that so called “Islamic” banks such as “Kuwait Finance House” or others really follow the true Islamic teaching when it comes to money. I recommend you listen to our episode on Islamic banks to get our full view on that topic. Thanks once again and hope to hear some follow up on your comment. Cheers
